I'm working on designing a pawpaw guild where I'll be starting with a 1'-2' pawpaw. Considering that it can grow to 20 ft tall and 25 ft diameter, how far out should I consider placing my 1'-2' eleagnus and other shrubs? How far out should I consider placing my fast/tall (Helianthus tuberosus) or shading (Symphytum officinale) growing herb layer components from the shrubs?
