Description

Some nut enthusiasts claim that hickories are the best flavored of the world's nuts. Certainly the pecan (also in the hickory genus) is awfully good. Shagbark is a widely distributed hickory with distinctive and attractive bark and smallish nuts. Grafted varieties are a must as far as I am concerned as the seedlings nuts I have tested are very hard to crack out. Also a great timber tree.
