Edible Wattle Fencing

Taking a design course with Charlie Headington, of Greensboro NC, where he discussed edible wattle fencing, as in the cuttings would root and fence would actually produce. We saw his successful example using figs and discussed the possibility of using blackberry cuttings for the same purpose. I'm curious as to the success of other cuttings that could be used (from any climate). Anyone have experience with this or other cuttings?  Mango cuttings or Dragon Fruit perhaps?
